ARLO Communal is an exploration of intimate and vibrant communal dining, with locations worldwide, based in Sydney and New York. It is shaped by our passion for dining, design, music, and the artistry of thoughtful, refined food and wine. Two mates, Cal and Tobi, craft novel dining experiences with expressive dishes paired with drinks from local and international producers, emphasizing a strong commitment to sustainability in both the vineyard and the cellar. They further produce end-to-end  experiences for the public and kindred brands. Above all, ARLO is an artful experience fostering openness and social exchange, where the beauty of dining awaits.

Cal Fernie - Creative Director / Producer

Our creative lead Cal Fernie, whose work has been defined through working in the fashion industry and creative arts, is the heartbeat of ARLO messaging, marketing, and media. His expertise extends into event management and styling, playing a pivotal role in shaping ARLO's creative vision. Past collaborations include renowned names such as Lalia Gohar, Scaperilli, Paco Rabanne, Haider Ackermann, Helmut Lang, CFDA Awards, and many others.

Tobi Fox - Head Chef / Culinary Director

Tobi Fox began his culinary journey in the refined restaurants of Sydney, Australia, and is now honing his skills in New York City's vibrant culinary scene. Currently, he works in the kitchen under Ignacio Mattos at Estela. Tobi's culinary path is a continuous exploration, where he gathers extensive experience and infuses this energy, knowledge, and passion into every aspect of ARLO.
